The politics of North Korea made strange bedfellows of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders on Saturday — when the Vermont Democrat said he doesn’t “fault” the president for his handling of Kim Jong Un.

토요일에 일어난 북한의 정치적 행각이 도널드 트럼프 대통령과 버니 샌더스 버몬트 민주당 의원 사이에 묘한 동지의 관계를 만들게 되었다. 버몬트 민주당의원(샌더스)는 도널트 트럼프 대통령의 대북 전략은 "틀리지않았다"라고 말했다.

Trump’s face-to-face meetings with Kim are “the right thing to do,” Sanders told ABC News, even given North Korea’s recent launch of short range missiles over the Sea of Japan.

샌더스는 ABC 뉴스를 통해 말하길 북한이 비록 일본해상으로 미사일 발사 훈련을 했지만 여전히 트럼프 대통령은 김정은과 직접 만나는 것은 "옳은 일"이라고 말했다.

“You know, this is one area, actually, where I do not fault Trump,” the 2020 presidential candidate told ABC’s Jonathan Karl.

2020년 대선 후보자(샌더스)는 ABC의 조나단 칼 기자에게 "모두가 알다시피 트럼프의 대북정책은 내가 트럼프를 비난하지 않는 단 하나의 영역"이라고 말했다.

“I think the idea of sitting down with Kim Jong Un is the right thing to do. It is very, very difficult, but clearly they are a threat to the planet,” Sanders said.

이어 말하길, "김정은과 함께 앉아 대화하는 것은 옳은 일"이라고 말하며, 이는 역시 지구에 큰 위혀이 되는 매우 어려운 일이라고 말했다.

“They are isolated. They’re demagogic, and we have just got to do everything we can to have China and the people in the Pacific Rim put as much pressure on North Korea and make it clear that they cannot continue to act this way.”

그는 덧붙여 말하길  "북한은 고립되어있다. 그들은 선동적이기 때문에 우리는 중국을 비롯해 태평양 연안국과 함께 북한을 최대한 많이 압박해야 하며, 그들이 계속해서 이렇게 행동하지 못하도록 우리가 할수있는 최선의 행동을 계속해야 한다"라고 밝혔다.
